WAS THAT THUNDER? Meet me, Jesus, meet me Meet me in the middle of the air If my wings should fail me, Lord Please meet me with another pair* Find a wooden chair that’s got no arms Set it out behind the house Where it can bask in rustic charm Put on your best pair of holy blues jeans A shirt with no sleeves and halo made out of straw Kick back and don’t bug anyone Banging on a six-string in the sun Angels sit upon a cloud playing their music too loud People look around and say ‘Hey did you hear that- was that thunder?' Sure- go on up there and shake his hand- join the heavenly band Blow your harp but don’t expect to be able to keep up- they’re angels, man Slip in the back and don’t bug anyone Banging on a six-string in the sun Meet me, Jesus, meet me Meet me in the middle of the air If my wings should fail me, Lord Please meet me with another pair When I get to heaven gonna walk with Jesus Gonna see his face when I get up there But til I walk those streets of gold and his smile behold I will behold his face on folks down here Cause in the back you won’t bug anyone Banging on a six-string in the sun The Good Lord’s words were plain to the end 'I go to prepare a place for you so bring a friend' Meet me, Jesus, meet me Meet me in the middle of the air...

THE CEREMONY OF THE CROW And suddenly, there's nothing I find myself alone No chatter of the children No vibrations from my phone And in that silent moment I assess the damage done But searching for a pattern I find that there is none The innocence of nonsense was almost enough to spoil the show. I lay to rest my altar ego in the Ceremony of the Crow. I tried to find some tears there but I had checked them at the door and then misplaced the bloody ticket with my face pressed to the floor. With my face pressed to the floor The whisper in the morning was just an echo of the night and all those saviours in the darkness were found to be perpetrators of the light. If everyone's a victim of passion's winning bid then nothing is irrefutable- it's all just snap to grid I'll get myself a little place and finally retire deep in the uncanny valley- darn my socks with piano wire- because alone there in my madness there will be no ties that bind, and to all thus quoth the Raven: Nevermore or Nevermind Nevermore or Nevermind Nevermore or Nevermind Nevermore or Nevermind?

JACK'S DREAM A bus came to pick up the damned And take them on a holiday tour It crossed the great chasm between darkness and light Arriving in a world that was pure The citizens of Hell stepped outside Of the shuttle that had brought them all this way But they were people-shaped stains on the air That looked a little like ghosts in the light of the day In the City of Grey there'd been mansions That could not even keep out the rain But here all was stripped of that vanity's prize Only that which mattered remained This world of the Morning had substance Blades of grass were knives to their feet And they were truly aware that they weren't truly there Except to be infinitely incomplete The ways of the selfish are shameful I'll not stumble today But righteousness can be painful I will not turn away One by one they were greeted by strangers People who had once been their friends Now living blameless in the presence of God Happy in this world without end 'How can this be- you were so violent!' 'How can this be- you were the worst one of us' But forfeit of ego and acceptance of grace Determined who stayed and who ran back to the bus. The ways of the selfish are shameful I'll not stumble today But righteousness can be painful I will not turn away The ways of the selfish are shameful I'll not stumble today But righteousness can be painful I will not turn away

WWJD RIGHT NOW It's just the thing that we do when we need to connect the way we need to connect It can be culturally relevant but not politically correct the way we need to connect Some people will nod, some people genuflect when we need to connect But it's all about the posture It's all about the posture It's all about the posture It's just the place that we go when we need to move the way we need to move It can be fiercely competitive or have nothing to prove the way we need to move Some places will slither while others will groove the way we need to move But it's all about the vibration It's all about the vibration It's all about the vibration It's all about the vibration What would James (Murphy) do? How can I do that for you? It's the way that we look and the way that we feel about the way that we feel The advice that we give and the kisses we steal over the way that we feel It's treating this midnight lunch like it's our final meal the way that we feel Because it's all about this moment It's all about this moment It's all about this moment It's all about this moment What would James (Murphy) do? How can I do that for you? Who would Jamie Lee (Curtis) be? Would you be that girl for me? We're all about this moment We're all about this moment We're all about this moment We're all about this moment It's just the person we are when we let down our guard the way that we let down our guard The one who's there with the friend who's just trying too hard when we've let down our guard We're all a little bit beautiful and a little bit scarred but we let down our guard Because it's all about the confession It's all about the confession It's all about the confession It's all about the confession What would James (Murphy) do? How can I do that for you? Who would Jamie Lee (Curtis) be? Would you be that girl for me? What would James (Murphy) do? How can I do that for you? Who would Jamie Lee (Curtis) be? Would you be that girl for me? Right now we have each other Right now we need no one else Right now we have each other Right now we need no one else Right now we have each other (We're all about this moment) Right now we need no one else (We're all about this moment) Right now we have each other (We're all about this moment) Right now we need no one else (We're all about this moment) Right now we have each other Right now we need no one else
